Minntech Corporation Receives 2011 Tekne Award
Minntech Corporation has been named recipient of the 2011 Tekne Award in the Life Sciences ‐ Established Companies Category. Presented by the Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA), the Tekne Awards honor companies and individuals who have played a significant role in developing new technologies that positively impact the lives and futures of people living around the world.
Minntech received the award for its latest advancement in innovation and product sterilization technology: REVOX® Contract Sterilization Services. Developed by Cantel Infection Prevention and Control Chemistries (IPCC), a new business unit formed in 2010, the REVOX service is the only rapid turnaround, true room‐temperature vapor sterilization system (18 - 30°C) offering for the medical, pharmaceutical and consumer products industries. The technology allows heat‐sensitive devices to be sterilized without compromising materials compatibility, product quality or integrity, and also significantly reduces the preparation time of the sterilization process that is associated with other methods.
